The Swacch Bharat is the most significance cleanliness campaign by the Government of India. Our esteemed Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi launched this campaign on 2 October 2014. He said that a clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to the Father of the Nation, Gandhiji on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. It became a national movement. According to the recent survey,’Swachh Survekshan 2018’ conducted by The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) PAN India, The three cleanest cities of India are Indore, Bhopal, and Chandigarh.
Anant Khasbardar of Kolhapur in Maharashtra won the Logo design contest while Bhagyasri Sheth of Rajkot, Gujarat emerged successful in the contest for Tagline for the logo. Sri Khasbardar was awarded 50000 INR and Ms. Bhagyasri was awarded 25000 INR for their talent.
Gandhiji’s specs is selected as the logo for the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. This was chosen as a logo because it signifies the Nation uniting to achieve the vision of Gandhiji for a clean India. Everyone believes that Gandhi is no longer just a person but a brand.
